The B-17 bomber operated by the E-A-A is grounded. The “Aluminum Overcast” was doing publicity flights in Georgia over the weekend when it struck a large bird. The strike caused damage to one of the wings–which will require repairs on-site. The “Aluminum Overcast is one of just ten B-17 Flying Fortresses in the world that are still airworthy.
