Voters in the Freedom school district will decide a referendum on a new high school today.
District Administrator Kevin Kilsofte says stakeholders put together the proposal after reaching out to the community.
The school board is asking voters for nearly $67 million for a new high school and upgrades at the existing schools.
Kilsofte says the survey showed people wanted the district to look at its facility needs. He says they also asked to improve the career and tech ed programs.
There are two questions on the ballot for Freedom’s special election today. The second one asks for $740,000 a year for five years to operate the high school.
