Three people were taken to a hospital after a late night fire on Green Bay’s east side.
Two police officers were treated for smoke inhalation and the father in the family received minor burns escaping the fire.
The home in the 2700 block of East Shore Drive is a total loss. Crews were called around midnight and found heavy smoke coming from the house. A 12-year-old boy was initially missing but was found at his grandmother’s house, down the block, a half an hour later. The Red Cross is helping the family of six. Damage is estimated at $245,000 and officials believe the fire started in the 12-year-old boy’s second floor bedroom.
