Officials say three people, including a gunman, are dead and another person has serious injuries after a shooting at Oneida Casino Saturday night in Ashwaubenon.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says current information suggests the suspect, who has only been identified as a male, has ties to the Oneida Casino from an employment status.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the shooting was a targeted event, and not a random shooting. Authorities say the gunman was targeting a specific victim that wasn’t there, but appears to have decided to shoot some of the person’s friends and coworkers.
At 7:27 p.m. the Brown County 911 Dispatch Center received a report of shots fired at the Duck Creek Restaurant inside the Oneida Casino/Radisson Conference Center. Authorities say responding officers treated the incident as a live active shooter event.
An investigation is ongoing with the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation. Officials say the threat is contained and there is no threat to the public.
