A local group is backing the plan to have Oshkosh Corporation build its headquarters on the city’s golf course.
The city council is meeting tonight to talk about the proposal.
Jason White is the president of the Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation. He says the Lakeshore Municipal Golf Course is the only location out of the 19 that meets all of the company’s criteria.
He says it’s important for the city to keep its only Fortune 500 company. He says they make a large economic impact on the community.
White says they’ve put together a competitive offer for the company’s board.
