A deer found dead in Green Lake County tests positive for chronic wasting disease. The whitetail was discovered in the town of Brooklyn in early May–ten miles from the borders with Fond du Lac, Winnebago, and Waushara counties. Winnebago County has now been added to the state’s ban on baiting and feeding deer. That goes into effect on July 1st. Similar bans in Fond du Lac and Waushara counties will be extended for another two years.
