Local transit services for senior citizens and the disabled will share nearly $4-million in aid from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The grant funding announced today will help a number of agencies in the Fox Cities and on the lakeshore. ADVOCAP, Inc. of Winnebago County receives nearly $33,000 in operating assistance for volunteer drivers. Brooke Industries, Inc. of Fond du Lac and Green Lake Counties is getting $50,400 to add a dual-axle minibus. Calumet County will be getting $11,361 in assistance for demand response volunteer drivers and $35,200 to replace one minivan. Dodge County is awarded $35,200 to replace a minivan. New Hope Center, Inc., which serves Calumet and Manitowoc Counties is receiving $43,665 for mobility management services, plus $41, 701 for fixed route operating services and $35,200 to buy a new minivan.
