The Neenah School Board votes to close two elementary schools and move those kids to another building. The Long-Term Elementary Facilities Plan will close Roosevelt and Wilson schools–with those kids moving to the current Horace Mann Middle School building. District spokesman Jim Strick says the Long-Term Elementary Facilities Plan addresses the need to operate fewer, old buildings. Roosevelt is the only school building on Doty Island in Neenah. Strick says it could still be used by the district for early childhood learning programs.
