A February primary will be needed to whittle down the field of candidates for Appleton School Board. Incumbents James Bacon, James Bowman, and Deb Truyman will face six challengers: Andrea Klitzke, Jason Kolpack, Dave Moscinski, Nick Ross, Mike Schinke, and Pheng Thao. The top eight will advance to the April general election.
On the Appleton Common Council, there will be one primary in District 4–where Israel Del Toro, Virgil Van Asten, and Storm Walsvik will compete to replace incumbent Joe Martin, who is not seeking re-election.
