The Appleton School Board will revisit its plan to make masks optional for students and staff next week. Back in November, the Board approved lifting the mask mandate on January 18th. But since then, the district has seen a spike in COVID cases among students and staff. According to the district dashboard, there are 341 positive cases–with another 108-people in quarantine. The School Board will be briefed on the numbers and trends on Monday night and decide whether to go forward with the optional masking policy.
