A North Dakota jury finds a trucker guilty of causing a distracted driving crash that killed a Chilton woman. Timothy McLaughlin is convicted on one count of Manslaughter and two counts of Aggravated Reckless Driving. McLaughlin was watching porn on his cell phone when his truck crashed into the back of a vehicle that had stopped for a construction zone along Interstate 94 in North Dakota back in July of 2020. A passenger in the car–Marikay Mathes of Chilton–was killed. McLaughlin faces up to ten years in prison–but no sentencing date has been set yet.
