OSHKOSH, Wis. — An Oshkosh woman will spend 7 1/2 years in prison for a murder-for-hire scheme.
Melissa Smith is also sentenced in Winnebago County Court to four years on extended supervision for Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Intentional Homicide.
Smith offered an undercover informant $500 to kill a man who had reported her drug-selling practices to police last year.
