(FOND DU LAC, WI)–A Fond du Lac man is jailed in connection with a domestic abuse situation and a vehicle chase in the city limits. Police were called to an apartment complex in the 100 block of S. National Avenue just after 6:00 this morning. That followed a report of a physical domestic abuse incident by a suspect armed with a gun.
That man was later found to be in the area of 15th Street and S. Main Street. When officers arrived, the suspect got into a vehicle and sped away. Police began a chase through the southeast and south central portions of Fond du Lac. Police and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies were able to stop the vehicle.
A 21-year-old Fond du Lac man was arrested on charges of Strangulation and Suffocation, Disorderly Conduct, Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. The incident is under investigation.
