KIEL, Wis. — Kiel Middle School receives a bomb threat for the third time this week.
Police say they received an email containing the latest threat around 6:45 a.m. Thursday.
All schools in the district held classes virtually Thursday, meaning there were no students or staff in school buildings. Police searched the middle school and did not find any devices.
As was the case with the second threat, the third referenced the ongoing sexual harassment investigation into three eighth grade boys accused of not referencing another student by their preferred pronouns. During a virtual-only school board meeting Wednesday, one parent called out the media for their role in the controversy:

While classes Thursday were held virtually, plans for next week remain uncertain.
The city has decided to cancel its Memorial Day Parade, citing ongoing security concerns.
