BUCHANAN, Wis–This week’s ruling that the town of Buchanan cannot charge residents a Transportation Utility Fee doesn’t necessarily mean that residents are getting refunds. Berg adds that Judge Mark McGinnis’s ruling in this case applies only to the Transportation Utility Fee charged in Buchanan. A state appeals court ruling upholding that decision would set legal precedent for other municipalities across the state.
