MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee is one step closer to hosting the 2024 Republican National Convention. The “Milwaukee Journal Sentinel” reports a GOP site selection committee chose Milwaukee for the 2024 meet up. The full Republican National Committee meets in Chicago August 2-5 and will still have to approve the site committee’s recommendation. Nashville had been the other finalist and could still be chosen at next month’s committee meeting. However, Nashville’s bid was put in doubt earlier this month when an agreement to host the event was tabled before a city council vote.
