Fox Valley unemployment rate rises slightly

MADISON, WI — Unemployment is increasing in the Fox Valley. The Department of Workforce Development reports the jobless rate in the Appleton area was three percent for June–up from two-point-three percent in May. Unemployment in the Oshkosh-Neenah area also increased seven-tenths to three-point-two percent. The jobless rate in Green Bay rose from two-point-six percent to three-point-two. Much of that increased is believed to be from more people getting back into the job market this summer.
