APPLETON, WI — A report of a person with a handgun near Erb Pool in Appleton turns out to be a case of three juveniles with facsimile guns. The call came in just before 4:00 PM Thursday from a pool worker. Officers detained the juveniles and found two facsimile firearms. Those included a black handgun-style BB gun and a black and translucent BB rifle with a collapsible stock. Both guns fire plastic BB’s. The guns were confiscated and the juveniles face disciplinary action. Pool patrons were sheltered inside of the pavilion/changing area during the incident. Erb Pool was also closed for the rest of the day.
