BROWN COUNTY, Wis. — Brown County confirms its first case of monkeypox.
The infected person is in isolation as health officials conduct contact tracing.
Monkeypox is mostly spread through close, intimate contact with someone who is infected and does not spread easily from person to person.
As of Thursday, 23 cases have been confirmed in Wisconsin.
