OSHKOSH, Wis–Winnebago County reports its first case of monkey pox. The city where the subject tested positive has not been released.
The county health department will only say that the person is in isolation and is working with officials to identify those that may be at risk for infection. The strain of monkey pox spreading in the US this summer is most commonly spread by close, intimate contact.
