TOWN OF BEAVER, Wis. — A single car crash kills a man in Marinette County.
At 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a power pole on fire between Highway 64 and County Highway P in the Town of Beaver. The caller said a man was lying near the burning pole.
Sheriff’s deputies responded and found a vehicle that had been traveling south left the pavement and went into a ditch before striking the pole and throwing the man from the vehicle. The victim, a 53-year-old Hispanic man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other Hispanic males in that vehicle made their way to a nearby farm house. They were treated by EMT’s and taken to a hospital.
Sheriff’s deputies say a fourth Hispanic male left the scene and was still unaccounted for as of Wednesday night.
The crash remains under investigation.
