GREEN BAY, Wis. — Two conservative groups file a lawsuit in Wisconsin seeking to block President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan.
The Brown County Taxpayers Association and the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty claim in their suit that the president does not have the authority to forgive student loans without Congressional approval. They also argue that the plan was adopted with the idea of providing greater benefits to people of color.
The lawsuit has been filed in Green Bay Federal Court.
