FOND DU LAC, WI — An Oshkosh man is arrested after threatening to kill another person in Fond du Lac and leading law enforcement officers on a chase. Fond du Lac Police were called to the 100 block of Welsh Street on a report of a physical altercation. Before officers arrived the 36-year-old Oshkosh man made death threats to another person. Officers located the suspect in a vehicle and attempted a traffic stop at West Johnson Street and North Main Street. The suspect then took off. Officers pursued the vehicle as the suspect sped west on West Johnson Street. The chase then moved onto I-41 northbound at speeds of up to 80 miles-an-hour. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies assisted place stop sticks which brought the chase to an end. The suspect is in the Fond du Lac County Jail facing charges of felony fleeing and eluding, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and operating while impaired.
