GREEN BAY, WI — Aspiro, Incorporated will soon provide bus service to its clients. When a fire on February 28th destroyed four of Aspiro Incorporated’s mini-buses and heavily damaged a fifth, Oneida Transit and the NEW Hope Center offered their buses to get disabled clients where they needed to go. Now, Aspiro’s Nicole Hoffman says $484,000 in insurance money and overwhelming community generosity are helping make an impossible dream come true.
“We have two (buses) ordered right now and we are just awaiting a delivery date. And we will proceed with purchasing the second two buses. Our staff became master jugglers. They did it all to make sure our clients got where they needed to be.”
The cause of the fire that destroyed Aspiro’s other buses is not yet known. Hoffman says the donated funds will also add security precautions.
“We are also putting cameras on the side of our building where our mini-buses will be parked. And we also have catalytic converter cages ordered. So we can put them on the new buses when they arrive.”
Aspiro public thanked all donors who’ve helped restore bus service to clients and local media, including Woodward Radio Group, for helping rally support for donations.
