OSHKOSH, Wis–Oshkosh firefighters rescue a number of people from a downtown hotel. Crews were called to the Best Western Premiere Waterfront Hotel in the first block of North Main Street just before 11:00 this (Thursday) morning to find a fire in a stairwell and smoke in the building.
Initial reports from the scene had people calling for help from the roof. There are no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire has not been released.
