GREEN BAY, Wis–The Brown County District Attorney’s office believes a Green Bay woman accused of killing and dismembering a man can get a fair trial in this area. The office has filed an answer to a request from the defense for Taylor Schabusiness for a change of venue due to pre-trial publicity.
Prosecutors argue that while the case has been widely-covered, it does not guarantee that an impartial jury could not be found in Brown County. If a change of venue motion is granted, the entire trial proceedings could be moved to another county in Wisconsin, or the jury could be selected elsewhere and then brought to Brown County to hear the case.
A hearing on that request is set for April 19th.
