No matter how you look at it, Donald Trump’s arraignment in New York City on Tuesday was remarkable. Most notably, since we’ve never been down this road before.
An indictment of a former president…an arrest, fingerprinting and opening of the charges. Learning of concerns and instructions from the judge, when the next hearing will take place and why the D.A. brought this forward in the first place. Remarkable.
In the closing days of the 2016 election, after the Access Hollywood tape came out, it may have taken just one final issue to tip the balance. Divulging an alleged sexual tryst with an adult movie star, while your wife was birthing your son, may have been that balance-tipping weight. Remarkable.
Also remarkable is that you often hear the former president talk about how the 2020 election was stolen from him. No discernible proof ever materialized, but Trump swore to the end that this election was ripped from his possession, even though he lost by over 7 million votes. If, indeed, the charges in this case are found to be true, you could make a solid case that the election that was stolen….was the 2016 election from one, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
