Victim and suspect named in fatal Green Bay hit and run

GREEN BAY, WI — Criminal charges are filed against a suspect in a fatal Green Bay hit and run crash. Trevor Scheel is facing counts of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle and Hit and Run Resulting in Death. According to the criminal complaint, Scheel was drunk when he struck and killed a woman crossing West Mason Street near 16th Avenue Tuesday afternoon. Police have now identified that woman as Roselita Helms,73, of Green Bay. Witnesses state Scheel was speeding–did not brake before hitting Helms–and drove off without slowing down.
