People can expect to pay a bit less for their Thanksgiving dinners this year.
Amy Eckelberg is the spokeswoman for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau. She says they checked the prices for 12 common items, and the total came to $47.26. That’s 54 cents lower than last year.
She says the drop is mostly because of the turkey. She says it cost 96 cents less than in 2016.
Nationally, the average cost for the 12 items was $1.85 higher than Wisconsin.
Eckelberg says if you divide the total cost by 10, the state’s price comes out to less than $5 per person.
