Post office to be renamed for Lundgaard

APPLETON, WI —  Appleton’s Post Office will be renamed in honor of a city firefighter killed in the line of duty. Congress passes a resolution by 8th District Representative Mike Gallagher to rename the post office on West Franklin Street in honor of Mitchell Lundgaard, who was shot and killed during a medical emergency at the Valley Transit Center in May of 2019. Dedication ceremonies are set for 11:00 A.M. August 23 at the post office.
