This November, you can see Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical comedy Hairspray at The Weidner Center in Green Bay!
On November 10, watch 16-year-old Tracy Turnblad in 1960’s Baltimore try to fulfill her dreams and dance her way onto TV’s most popular show. The New York Times calls the show, “fresh, winning, and deliriously tuneful!”
This tour’s production is brand new, reuniting Broadway’s award-winning creative team led by Director Jack O’Brien along with Choreographer Jerry Mitchell. The new production will attempt to bring Hairspray to a new generation of audiences, according to The Weidner Center’s website.
This show is part of the Broadway in Green Bay package, which includes five titles coming directly from New York including, Jesus Christ Superstar 50th Anniversary Tour, Hairspray, Cirque Dreams Holidaze, My Fair Lady, and Annie.
