Is it really almost September? I get it…time marches on at the same pace as always, but come on, August is almost toast?
I met a young Appleton West student recently that was talking about the end of his summer, readying for the upcoming school year, and we chatted about the oddity of seeing 3 H.S. football games before school even begins! Crazy, but true.
On second glance, I realized it was a good thing that school WAS in session, considering the surreal covid years. And, the realization that his desire to seek higher education is not necessarily shared by all of his peers, as witnessed by shrinking numbers attending college these days. He has a good head on his shoulders and will likely shine no matter what he pursues.
Now, about summer sliding away so quickly….
