GREEN BAY, Wis–A Grand Chute Town Board member being sued by the former Town Administrator files a counter claim. Former Administrator James March is suing supervisors Ronald Wolff and Jeffrey Ings, along with Town Chairman Jason Van Eperen, for wrongful termination following his firing without cause earlier this year.
In papers filed December 1st in Green Bay Federal Court, Wolff accuses March of entrapping him into potential illegal activity on the board and forming political alliances against him.

Wolff claims March was aware that a town contract awarded to Wolff’s Lakeshore Cleaners could have violated state statutes on an elected official benefiting from a public contract, but did not advise against its approval. Wolff also alleges that March provided information on that contract to state investigators that were looking into Wolff’s legal residency in the winter of 2022. This summer, Wolff was charged with a felony in connection with that contract.
The supervisor also accuses March of flip-flopping on issues discussed in private with Wolff–and then “embarrassing him” with different statements during public meetings. In the countersuit, Wolff demands March pay his legal fees for not only the federal wrongful termination lawsuit but also for his pending criminal case.
