SUAMICO, Wis–A report of a snowmobile going through the ice of Green Bay turns out to be a false alarm. The Brown County Sheriff’s Department was called out to an area off Longtail Point just before 10:00 this (Tuesday) morning on the report of a sled that had gone into the water.
A search of the area initially turned up nothing. Two ice fishermen later contacted the department to say that they has lost a piece of equipment in the area of the call.
They were not hurt.
