GREEN BAY, Wis–Green Bay Police are warning of scams targeting the city’s Latino community. The department says a dozen residents have lost tens of thousands of dollars to scammers claiming to be able to help people become U-S citizens and assist in other legal matters.
The suspects ask for cash payments or wire transfers up front for their services. Police believe there are many more victims that have been afraid to come forward and help in the investigation.
