As you may have heard, we had a very unexpected visitor this weekend. And, he didn’t sign in at the front desk either!
Saturday morning, a wild turkey, that we suspect had been casing the joint this past week, decided to crash through our Woodward break room window at warp speed. Or, whatever speed a turkey can achieve. I hear it’s not much.
After destroying the window and crashing to the floor, bleeding and banging his way against every wall, coffee maker, snack machine and fridge in his path, busted his way back out the previously-destroyed window to freedom and certain ridicule from his fellow angry birds! You did what, Vern?
Our cleaning guru, Ken, did a thorough cleanup on aisle 5, scrubbed all presence of said turkey from all surfaces and now we await a new window install. Preferably a bit stronger variety.
Our Woodward Community Media ranch property is often visited by ducks, geese, sandhill cranes, etc. But now, wild turkeys have resorted to violence in venting their concerns over our programming. Next time…put a quill to paper and complain in a more proper way!
