OSHKOSH, Wis. — An inmate severely beaten at the Wisconsin Resource Center in Oshkosh has died.
The state Department of Corrections says the 56-year-old man passed away Monday at ThedaCare Medical Center-Neenah from injuries suffered in an attack by another inmate back on May 21.
The 41-year-old suspect remains in custody and is expected to face homicide charges.
The incident took place in an outside courtyard at WRC, which provides mental health services for those in the corrections program.
The names of those involved have not been released.
