OSHKOSH, Wis. — Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz is putting his hat in the ring for another position.
Matz announces that he will run for county executive next spring.
Matz has been Winnebago County sheriff for 14 years after another 20 years in the department.
He will face incumbent Jon Doemel, who has announced he is running for reelection.
