MANITOWOC, Wis. — The man charged in connection with the death of a toddler in Manitowoc County says he is “not guilty.”
Jesse Vang enters the plea to counts of physical abuse of a child — repeated acts causing death, hiding a corpse and chronic child neglect.
Vang was caring for Elijah Vue when he reported him missing in Two Rivers back in February. The 3-year-old’s remains were found near a children’s camp outside of the city in September.
Vue’s mother, Katrina Baur, is awaiting trial on charges of chronic child neglect with a consequence of death and child neglect. No trial date for Vang has been set.
