GRAND CHUTE, Wis. — Two people are injured after a vehicle crashes into a Grand Chute home.
The incident started early Monday afternoon in the 4500 block of W. Capitol Drive when Grand Chute police tried to stop a vehicle that took off at high speed. Police did not chase after the vehicle in that residential neighborhood but did follow it.
In the 3100 block of W. Capitol Drive, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into the home. Two people inside the vehicle fled the scene, were captured a short time later and taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
It’s not known whether anyone was in the house at the time of the crash, although police say they have been in contact with the homeowner.
The suspects have not been identified.
