OSHKOSH, Wis–The Menominee Park Train in Oshkosh may run for another summer. The city’s Parks Department did not include funding to operating the mini-train in the 2025 budget due to repair costs and difficulty in staffing it, which led to public outcry.
Interim City Manager John Fitzpatrick says they may have found enough money to at least make needed repairs this year………
The Oshkosh Common Council will consider allocating that ARPA interest to the Menominee Park Train on Tuesday. A Go Fund Me effort to save the train has raised just $2,700 toward a goal of $50,000.
