If you haven’t caught on yet, I’ve decided I won’t stop using my voice until this nation starts to realize the negative effect corporate consolidation on all of us.
It doesn’t matter what industry you’re talking about: Grocery prices, Housing Prices, and even video games. Eventually, every industry has trended towards 2-5 major players with the rest of the “competition” doomed to eventually sell or close.
Now, we can add the firetruck industry to the list as well.
After decades of consistent pricing, the cost to build a new truck over the course of the last 7 years has DOUBLED. That’s not natural, that’s monopolistic.
The reason I know this is happening is because I read the article up above on the “BIG” publication, which focuses on monopolies impact on the economy.
