LAKE WINNEBAGO, Wis. — The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office releases drone photos of Lake Winnebago ahead of the sturgeon spearing season.
The photos are paired with forward-looking infrared images that show where there is open and warmer water.
The sheriff’s office notes that ice conditions on Winnebago change daily and spearers should follow local fishing clubs on social media for the latest conditions.
