MENASHA, Wis–The site of the former Nicolet Elementary School in Menasha will not become housing as first thought. Nicolet Menasha L-L-C, which initially announced plans to demolish the school building and put up single-family homes on the property, has informed the city that it has sold the site to another company–which has plans for a commercial use.

A cleaning company is believed to be the new owner of the Nicolet site. Menasha had committed up to $300,000 in tax incremental financing to the residential development plan.
