APPLETON, Wis. — The city of Appleton finds a new vendor to put on the annual Fourth of July celebration in Memorial Park.
The parks committee approves a contract with Wisconsin Entertainment Group to book music, staff food and drink stands and provide other family entertainment on the Fourth.
Parks director Dean Gazza says the group has had success with similar events elsewhere…………..

Appleton’s Fourth of July celebration had been coordinated by the Jaycees, but that group gave it up after 2023.
Last year’s event featured just fireworks in Memorial Park.
