UPDATE
TOWN OF LEON, WI — The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office says that skeletal remains found last Thursday in the Town of Leon have been positively identified. The sheriff’s office says the name linked to those remains will be released at a later time.
The identification was made possible with the cooperative efforts of the Waushara County Medical Examiners Office and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation. No other details are being released at this time.

TOWN OF LEON, WI — An investigation is underway after skeletal human remains are found in Waushara County.
The Waushara County Sheriffs Office responded to a call Thursday afternoon after the remains were found in the area of County High EE between Blackhawk Avenue and 26th Court in the Town of Leon.
The sheriffs office is being assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin State Patrol, the Wisconsin Crime Lab and the Waushara County Medical Examiner.
No further information has been released in this case.
