MADISON, WI — A letter from convicted murderer Steven Avery will not be considered by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. That decision is announced Tuesday afternoon.
Avery filed a hand-written motion on his own last week for a Denny motion, which alleges a third party committed the crime. Avery was convicted and is serving a life sentence for the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach.
She went to the Avery Salvage Yard to take photos for an auto sales publication. Investigators found some of Halbach’s personal items and bone fragments on the property.
