APPLETON, Wis. — An Appleton park may be getting a new name.
The city’s Parks and Recreation Committee approves a proposal that would rename Appleton Memorial Park as Veterans Memorial Park.

Alder Sheri Hartzheim points out that there is already a Veterans Memorial Park in the Fox Cities…….
The proposal also includes constructing memorials in the park for recent military conflicts and relocating existing ones. The full Appleton Common Council will vote on it next week.
