LAKE POYGAN, Wis. — Five people are rescued after their boat takes on water on Lake Poygan.
First responders were called to the lake around 8:10 p.m. Sunday on the report of a boat that was fully submerged.
A 40-year-old Omro man, a woman and three juveniles were found floating in the water on coolers. They were brought back to shore, evaluated by paramedics and released.
Authorities say the boat was experiencing mechanical issues before it submerged.
