OSHKOSH, Wis–The Oshkosh Corporation’s major contract with the U-S Postal Service is threatened by the Senate version of the “Big Beautiful Bill”. Senate Republicans have inserted a measure in the package that would remove the $1.5-billion the Biden administration earmarked for the electric Postal Service vehicles and the charging equipment to keep them running.
Oshkosh Transport is building the new delivery vehicles at a plant in South Carolina. The Senate Parliamentarian has issued a statement saying the Senate could only remove that funding if their version of the bill is approved with 60-votes, instead of a simple majority.
